Terms of service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of MathVenture. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use MathVenture.

1. Who can use MathVenture

MathVenture is designed for children under 13, used under parental supervision. A parent or legal guardian must create the account and confirm, at registration, that they are the parent or guardian and at least 18 years old. Child profiles can only be created inside a parent account.

2. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. You may not share your account with another household. You are responsible for all activity on your account until you notify us of any unauthorized use.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to reverse-engineer, scrape, redistribute, or otherwise misuse the service. You agree not to attempt to bypass access controls, rate limits, or payment requirements.

4. Subscriptions and billing

Paid subscriptions are not live yet. When billing launches, subscriptions will be sold by MathVenture and processed by a named payment provider, you will receive a receipt for each charge, and you will be able to cancel at any time. Until then, no payment method is collected and no charge can be made.

5. Content and intellectual property

All content in MathVenture — games, graphics, text, audio, code — is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by copyright. You receive a limited, non-exclusive license to use the service for personal, non-commercial educational purposes only.

6. Disclaimers

MathVenture is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that specific learning outcomes will be achieved.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, MathVenture's total liability for any claim arising from your use of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes are reflected in the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.

9. Not a substitute for instruction

MathVenture is a practice tool. It is not a substitute for classroom instruction, a tutor, or individualised educational advice, and nothing in the product or the Learn Hub is medical, psychological or diagnostic advice. If you are concerned about your child's mathematical development, speak to their teacher or a qualified professional.

10. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of {{GOVERNING_LAW_JURISDICTION}}, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and the courts of {{GOVERNING_LAW_VENUE}} have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute. Before starting any formal proceeding, please write to info@mathventure.io — almost everything is faster to fix that way. Nothing here removes any consumer-protection right you have under the mandatory law of your country of residence.
