About MathVenture
Last updated: 2026-04-20
MathVenture is an independent education company building math practice games that kids actually want to play.
Our mission
We believe every child can enjoy math — not tolerate it, not endure it, but actually enjoy it — if the first few years of practice are designed with care. Our mission is to build that kind of practice: curriculum-aligned, evidence-based, and genuinely fun to come back to tomorrow.
The second half of our mission is trust. MathVenture is built for children, and children deserve software that is privacy-respecting, COPPA-compliant, ad-appropriate, and written by adults who would let their own kids use it. We hold ourselves to that standard every day.
Our approach
Every game in MathVenture is built around a single math skill — adding within twenty, recognising fractions, finding perimeters — and designed so the child practises that skill hundreds of times per session without it feeling like drill. Each game has an adaptive difficulty engine that tunes itself to the child in real time, never parking them at frustration or boredom.
We deliberately reject the standard ed-tech playbook of long lessons, passive videos, and streak-maximising loops. MathVenture sessions are short (2–5 minutes per level), interactive every second, and designed to be closable whenever the child is done. Repeat play is a side effect of quality, not a manipulated metric.
Editorial policy
Every article in our Learn Hub is written or reviewed by a team member with relevant training — a classroom teacher, a curriculum designer, or an education-research contributor. When we cite research, we cite it explicitly. We do not publish AI-generated articles without human review, and we do not accept sponsored content.
If you spot an error in a MathVenture article, please write to us at editors@mathventure.io. We issue corrections promptly and maintain a public log of substantive changes.
The team
MathVenture is built by a small, international team — engineers, curriculum designers, and parents. We started the project because we were tired of math apps that were loud, distracting, or transparently designed to upsell. Everything you see here is the version we would hand to our own children first.
