Build the tallest skyscraper in the city! Each floor needs a certain number of windows. Count carefully and place exactly the right number of windows on each floor. Get it right to add the floor to your tower. Get it wrong and the floor crumbles! How many floors can you build?

How to play

Each floor of the rising skyscraper shows a window grid — three rows of four, five rows of six — and asks how many windows that makes. Tap the answer from the floating panel and the floor locks into the tower with a satisfying click. Wrong answers don't crash the building; the floor simply shimmers and the question repeats with a quick row-by-row hint. Products start in the times-two and times-five tables and climb through times-nine as the tower rises.

Why this age range

Targets grades 2–3 because that's when multiplication is introduced as repeated addition and consolidated into the times tables. A second grader can play the lower levels comfortably; a third grader benefits from the upper levels (sevens, eights, nines) where the array model still helps and pure recall hasn't yet locked in. Fourth graders will find the pace too gentle.

Notes for parents

Skyscraper Builder is array multiplication made visible. A child who counts the windows one-by-one isn't doing it wrong — they're at the counting stage that always precedes multiplication fluency. The transition happens when they notice that the rows are identical and start skip-counting them. Don't push the shortcut; let the building do the work. Six floors of seeing 4 × 3 as four rows of three is worth a week of flashcards.
